Ardmeanach is an ideal base for touring the Highlands, trips and excursions can be pre booked for you.
The City Centre is where you will find both the Bus and train Stations. Dalcross Airport is about ten Miles out of town and is accessed by a regular Bus or Taxi Service.
'Nessie' herself lives only a few Miles from Ardmeanach and I am sure that if you take a trip either by road to Loch Ness or indeed, by the award winning Jacobite Cruises that you may not be disappointed. The village of Drumnadrochit is situated sixteen miles form Inverness and you will find several Restaurants and pubs there as well as two very good 'Loch Ness Monster' Exhibitions.Website
There’s nothing quite like the freedom of the long open road, and this summer we’ve got it all planned out. Never-ending back roads, wide meandering paths and hidden trails through some of Scotland’s finest coastal scenery are just a few things you can expect on Scotland’s brand new tourist route, the North Coast 500.Website
Culloden Battlefield is situated about 5 miles from the City centre and is a must for anyone visiting Inverness. The site of the last battle to be fought on British soil. There is a large Exhibition Centre and a walk around the battlefield is a must to soak up the atmosphere!Website
Another excellent trip is to Fort George. One of the finest examples of Military engineering, built after the Battle of Culloden to protect the area from any further Rebellions. Never has a shot in anger been fired from the Fort. It is still used Today by the Army and houses an excellent Military Museum.Website
Whisky is Scotland's national drink. It's also our biggest export, with bottles safely stored in drinks cabinets and proudly displayed on shelves across the globe. Rare bottles sell for thousands of pounds (really rare bottles sell for hundreds of thousands). Whisky is a pretty big deal - but we're not surprised at all.Website
